The importance of "saving your work"

The "official" title of my role under Nexstars policy is Unpaid-Intern. However, I would call myself a multi-media journalists, photographer, producer, anchor (and finally) intern. I have had the opportunity to do all five of those positions and even more hands on work than I could have ever imagined. An example of one of the times, was when I was out in the field editing together a story about overdoses in Hutchinson. I had this photo taken by MMJ/Reporter Hunter Funk. Minutes after this photo was taken her computer died and I had saved the video just seconds before that we were working on KSNs editing platform AVID. Hunter was very thankful that I had saved all our work on the package that was due 3 hours later before the 5pm show.
